Lagree vs. Pilates: What are the differences?

Lagree and Pilates studios are popping up everywhere and attracting more and more followers. You're probably one of them! Here's a quick look at the two approaches:

Lagree and Pilates are two exercise methods that share similarities but differ in their approaches and equipment. Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates, focuses on strengthening deep muscles, flexibility, and posture, with exercises primarily performed on a mat or using equipment like the Reformer.

Lagree, on the other hand, is a more recent method, inspired by Pilates, but with a stronger emphasis on intensity and full-body muscular training. It is practiced on a specific machine, the Megaformer, which allows for working on strength, endurance, and stability simultaneously, by alternating slow and controlled movements. Lagree is often considered more intense and dynamic, while Pilates remains more focused on breathing and body control.
